Job Summary
This position is responsible for loading all outbound shipments and unloading all inbound deliveries.
Duties and Responsibilities: Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Operates a propane sit-down forklift. Sort shipments for destination and group merchandise to be included with or fulfilled in an order. Packaging and loading of finished materials for transport and unloading of raw materials. Moving of product to pallets or crates for storage or shipment. Take product off the production line and store in designated location. Transport raw materials to production workstations. Inspect forklift to determine the need for repairs and to guarantee safety. Verify piece counts on each pallet and compare to label. Material handling of all products. Follow manufacturing work orders. Count nails, peel plastics off metals and re-adhere plastic to finished products. Other small tasks to assist with the timely delivery of finished products.Required Skills/Abilities/Knowledge:
Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills. Highly motivated with good sound work ethics. Must demonstrate safe working practices and possess great attention to detail. Team player able to follow instructions from management and peers. Ability to learn and operate new equipment. Ability to use measuring devices (gauges, tapes, rulers). Strong problem-solving skills and math skills with the capability to calculate square footage and batch size.Education and Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent is required. Minimum of one (1) year previous forklift experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in Shipping and Receiving.Equipment Used:

Fast paced manufacturing environment, loading dock, and driveways. Will be working in all weather conditions. Hours Worked: 40 hours per week typically 2nd Shift Days/Week: Monday – FridayTravel Requirement
