Job Title: A/V Field Service Technician

Job Description

The main function of the AV Field Service Technician is to manage the installation, maintenance, and repair of office technology, including video-conferencing solutions, digital signage, and IT security spaces.

ResponsibilitiesInstall AV equipment, monitors, video conferencing solutions, and room-booking tablets while adhering to company standards.Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance of AV systems, including software updates, hardware checks, and system testing.Troubleshoot and repair technical issues with AV equipment as needed.Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including support, local facilities, network, and construction teams.Maintain accurate records via various online tools and spreadsheets in compliance with company policies and procedures.Conduct site surveys to assess audio-visual requirements from both construction and QA/QC perspectives.Essential Skills3 years of experience in Audio-Visual installations with a strong understanding of AV systems, video conferencing technologies, and digital signage.Experience with installing AV/IT hardware equipment in ceilings, working at heights using lifts and ladders, and collaborating with construction teams.Ability to travel to all data centers across the company portfolio, with 75-90% travel required.Valid driver's license and passport.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical issues and roadblocks to both local and remote teams.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with specific AV manufacturers (e.g., Cisco, NEC, Biamp, Qsys).Industry certifications (e.g., CTS, CTS-I).Basic understanding of network infrastructure.Work EnvironmentThe role requires 75-90% travel to visit all data centers, primarily within the United States. The position involves working at heights and using lifts and ladders as needed.Can live anywhere within the US, as long as you're within a reasonable distance to an airport. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
