Account Manager Hybrid

The Account Manager is responsible for retaining and servicing assigned commercial groups.  Provides strategic account oversight, annual renewal negotiations, annual contract review, consulting with producers and groups and identifying opportunities to expand Providence Health Plan services and relationships.  The Account Management team is responsible for managing approximately $500 million of insured premium revenue, with each Account Manager averaging more than $75 million annual revenue contribution.  The Account Manager must balance member and group retention with appropriate loss ratio and financial performance targets. The assigned groups include large employers, national accounts, associations and trusts.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree Or Experience in all aspects of health plan/commercial group benefits sales and service with a proven ability to problem solve. Upon request: Driving may be necessary as part of this role. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request. See policy for additional information. 3 years Experience in insurance or industry related sales and/or service with emphasis on direct, in person client contact required; 5 or more years experience strongly preferred. Experience and comfort with public speaking and/or group presentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong carrier background with understanding of Health Plan operations and customer service issues balanced with changing market needs.
