The Automobile Club of Southern California is seeking a General Accountant to support our Insurance Accounting team processing invoices, preparing journal entries and month end close.

What You’ll Do:
You will process invoices accurately and timely by creating requisitions and submitting to Accounts Payable.
You will be required to maintain the Regulatory Calendar by completing tasks and filings by the prescribed deadlines and keeping status updated.
You’ll assist with month-end close by (1) running system reports, (2) prepare journal entries (3) prepare account reconciliations, and (4) completing journal entries log. Research and resolve reconciliation issues and perform follow-ups, as appropriate.
You will prepare assigned quarterly and annual statutory financial statement sections accurately and timely.
Complete ad-hoc projects and other duties as assigned by management, including requests from outside departments.
What You’ll Need:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
1 – 2 years general accounting including accounts payable experience required.
To thrive in this role, you will need to have experience in a medium or large, fast-paced company, working in heavy deadline driven environment.
You will need strong verbal and communication skills.
You will have to be well organized and detail-oriented with ability to multi-task and manage several deadlines.
Prior knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office products and ERP systems is a plus.

The starting pay range for this position is:
$28.19 - $37.55Additionally, for full time positions, you will be eligible to participate in our incentive program based upon the achievement of organization, team and personal performance.
