Job Summary
The Accountant II performs intermediate-level accounting functions, including preparing journal entries, conducting reconciliations, and supporting financial reporting processes. This role is responsible for analyzing financial transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and assisting with budgeting and audit preparation. The Accountant II works closely with internal departments, vendors, and auditors to maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial records and improve financial operations.
Essential Functions
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required 3-5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or related roles required Experience with financial reporting, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, or budget analysis in a healthcare or corporate environment preferredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards. Proficiency in financial analysis, reconciliations, and variance reporting. Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Experience with accounting software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel. Strong written and verbal communication skills for collaboration with internal teams and external auditors. Problem-solving skills and ability to identify financial discrepancies and recommend solutions.Licenses and Certifications
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or progress toward certification required
