Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This role is based in Santa Barbara, California, and offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to essential financial operations such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation. The ideal candidate will thrive in a structured environment and demonstrate a strong ability to manage multiple accounting tasks with precision. Responsibilities: • Process and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions to ensure accuracy. • Handle invoice processing and verify payment details for timely submission. • Perform account reconciliations to resolve discrepancies and maintain financial records. • Assist in preparing and managing billing statements for clients and vendors. • Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, and Oracle to streamline processes. • Generate and analyze reports using Microsoft Excel to support decision-making. • Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures. • Address and resolve any issues related to invoices, payments, or reconciliations. • Maintain organized and up-to-date accounting documentation for audits and reviews. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation. • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, and Oracle. • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting. • Familiarity with invoice processing and billing procedures. • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations. • Effective communication skills for liaising with clients and internal teams.
