Accounting Manager
Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Los Angeles, California. In this role, you will oversee critical accounting operations, including month-end close processes, account reconciliations, and trial balance reviews. This position is ideal for someone with a strong attention to detail and a solid understanding of inventory flow within a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities: • Manage month-end close activities, including preparing and posting complex journal entries. • Conduct thorough reviews of trial balances and ensure accuracy in financial reporting. • Reconcile inventory accounts and monitor inventory flow within the manufacturing process. • Perform intercompany account reconciliations and ensure proper elimination of intercompany transactions. • Research and resolve variances in accounts to maintain accurate financial records. • Prepare accruals and adjust journal entries as needed to ensure compliance with accounting standards. • Maintain accurate records through detailed account reconciliations. • Utilize SAP S/4HANA and Epicor ERP systems to perform accounting functions efficiently. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline accounting processes and improve accuracy. Requirements • Proven experience in accounting, with a focus on manufacturing environments. • Expertise in month-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations. • Strong knowledge of intercompany accounting and eliminating intercompany transactions. • Proficiency in accrual accounting and trial balance preparation. • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting. • Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA and Epicor ERP systems is highly desirable. • Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. • Strong organizational and communication skills to effectively manage multiple priorities.
