Accounts Payable Clerk
Accounts Payable Clerk Job Description The Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for processing vendor invoices, managing payment cycles, and ensuring accurate financial records in support of the accounting operations. This role requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Responsibilities + Review and verify invoices and check requests for accuracy and proper authorization. + Match invoices to purchase orders and receipts using a 3-way matching process. + Enter and upload invoices into the accounting system. + Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments including ACH, wire, and check. + Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies by communicating with vendors and internal departments. + Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation. + Assist with month-end closing and reporting tasks as needed. + Support internal audits and respond to inquiries from management and external auditors. Essential Skills + 1–3 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience. + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; intermediate to advanced level preferred. + Strong organizational and time management skills. + Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. + Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a high-volume environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with accounting systems like Workday, AS400, or SAP is a plus. + Familiarity with automated AP systems and invoice scanning tools is a plus. + Experience in the construction or service industry. + Knowledge of Deltek Vision, ScerIS, or similar AP platforms. + Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with integrity. Work Environment The position is 100% onsite, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with some flexibility. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
