Scope of Responsibilities: Oversees the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Payable Department. Responsible for ensuring the training and development of subordinate staff, estimating personnel needs, assigning work, meeting completion dates, interpreting and ensuring consistent application of organizational policies and effectively manage staff in two locations. Job Summary: To coordinate, plan, administer and implement the company’s Accounts Payable Department duties to ensure corporate goals are met. This is not a remote opportunity and must be on-site. Job Duties: Manages all corporate AP. Includes, Customer Vendor Relations, Vendor Master Files and the AP disbursement group which handles all check disbursements, 1099 and tax related matters for ERP systems. Works with all corporate division to ensure ongoing needs are met and issues are resolved. Develops, implements and maintains systems, procedures and policies, including accounts payable functions to ensure adherence to company guidelines, keeping pace with company growth. Manages monthly closing of Accounts Payable subsystem and posting of month end information to ensure accuracy of financial statements. Act as the lead subject matter expert for all Accounts Payable accounting and control issues Provides Accounts Payable assistance to managers and operations staff; responds to financial questions/concerns to meet business needs. Acts as a liaison between the company, government and external accountants to meet information needs and to ensure that proper information is maintained for historical purposes. Selects and hires employees for the groups mentioned above. Sets department guidance and direction for Accounts Payable Supervisor. Trains and evaluates employees to enhance their performance, development, and work product. Addresses performance issues and makes recommendations for personnel actions. Motivates and rewards employees including providing salary increases, bonuses and promotions within allocated budgets and company guidelines. Prepares and recommends operating and personnel budgets for approval. Monitors spending for adherence to budget, recommends variances as necessary. Responsible for completing all mandatory and regulatory training programs Perform other duties as assigned Educational Requirements: Required: BS Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field Experience: Preferred: Five or more years of accounting experience, with three or more years of leadership experience Special Conditions of Employment: Any and all additional eligibility requirements based on the specific position Drug Test Initial and continuous exclusion and sanction/disciplinary monitoring Compensation: $75,000-$80,000 Annual The final offer will be determined after careful consideration of multiple factors such as relevant skills, years of experience and education.
