Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Representative to join our team. The role involves processing a high volume of invoices, managing vendor relationships, and handling various accounting tasks within a construction environment.
ResponsibilitiesProcess 40-50 invoices per day.Answer queries via the PO Hotline.Enter trade payables into the accounts payable system.Manage purchases made on company credit cards.Research and resolve issues with purchase orders.Create purchase orders and link them to work orders and construction jobs.Enter parts onto a service work order and input invoices to accounts payable.Conduct vendor invoice research.Contact vendors and subcontractors who have not yet billed.Match vendor invoices to paid details.Enter construction invoices to accounts payable, understanding progress billing.Process checks and credit card payments to vendors.Place orders with vendors.Handle incoming and outgoing mail.Collaborate closely with the CFO.Leverage experience in construction job costing.Run checks and assist with overhead processing.Cover front desk duties on a rotational basis, three times per day.Essential Skills3-5 years of experience in accounts payable.Proficiency in invoice processing.Vendor management skills.Understanding of purchase orders and two-way matching.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables.Additional Skills & QualificationsBackground in construction.Basic skills in Microsoft Excel for sorting, filtering, and data entry.High school diploma.Familiarity with Ascent ERP.Work Environment
This is a fully onsite role, operating Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM with no flexibility in hours. The team consists of three people in the Accounts Payable department.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
