Job Title Adjunct Faculty in Physics Agency Texas A&M University - San Antonio Department Department of Computational, Engineering, and Mathematical Sciences Proposed Minimum Salary Commensurate Job Location San Antonio, Texas Job Type Faculty Job Description The Department of Computational, Engineering, and Mathematical Sciences is seeking a part-time adjunct instructor(s) for teaching calculus and non-calculus based introductory physics lecture and laboratory for Fall 2025 in person (no online teaching option available). Required Education and Experience: + An earned Master's degree in Physics or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution. + 18 graduate hours in Physics or a closely related field. + Physics Lecture and Laboratory teaching experience. Experience as a graduate teaching assistant acceptable. Preferred Education and Experience: + Working towards or has earned Ph.D. in Physics, or related field from a regionally accredited institution. + Experience and interest in teaching undergraduates in a college/university setting. + Broad training in physics. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: + Excellent oral and written communication skills. + Excellent presentation skills. + Interest in active and collaborative learning, the instructional use of technology. + Experience with non-traditional commuter university settings. + Ability to work cooperatively with faculty and staff. + Ability to respond promptly to queries from students, faculty, and staff.
