The Level IV Engineer (Project Engineer) will be an active participant in the design, procurement, fabrication, assembly, integration, start-up, and commissioning of very large-scale automated aerospace assembly systems. The Project Engineer will take a leadership role while working with other engineers to concept, develop, and design conventional and automated tooling systems and customized machine tools for the aerospace industry.

ResponsibilitiesComplete long-term engineering projects.Perform engineering design evaluations and work within budget and scheduling constraints.Rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.Lead by example and manage designers, stress analysis, offload design, and offload fabrication.Collaborate with designers to collate concept models and define detailed plans of systems and sequences of operations for bid proposals.Define, organize, and prioritize project goals.Provide leadership to meet design schedules.Work with the marketing group for new design considerations.Support new product introduction to manufacturing.Occasionally travel domestically or internationally to customer sites.Possess required experience, skills, and attributes for assigned level in engineering, technology, software tools, and personal & leadership on the Engineering Skills Matrix.Essential SkillsAt least 8+ years of experience in the aerospace industry.Aerospace industry experience with a focus on overseeing tooling design and providing guidance.Proficiency in CATIA or NX software, ideally both.Ability to work and manage a team, provide feedback to designers, and ensure product quality.Security clearance and team-oriented mindset.Strong customer relationship management skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Minimum eight years of experience in heavy machine design, structural design, aerospace tooling assembly systems, or automation.Manufacturing and machine shop background or relevant experience preferred.CAD Software Knowledge: CATIA V5, NX, or equivalent software knowledge (Solidworks, Pro E, etc.).Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software (Ansys or Femap preferred).Work Environment

The position requires working 100% on-site in an indoor, office environment. You will be part of a casual work environment with excellent growth opportunities. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $75.00/hr.
