As an AZ Operator, you will provide transportation services between customer sites in an acceptable and safe manner.  Responsibilities include loading trucks and transporting biosolids from local mining operations to beneficial use options.  

 Key Accountabilities when driving

Operate motorized vehicles to move material between client sitesMust be familiar and demonstrate ability to operate a tankerAccurately complete numerous and various documents, including pre/post trip inspections, manifests, log books, VCRs, etc., in a legible manner to meet compliance requirementsEnsure that all equipment and systems are operated as per GFL standardsKnowledge of Reg. 347/558, WMHIS, MTO regulationsStandard shift is Monday to Friday with flexible daytime hoursDrivers are required to adhere to all Environmental and Health & Safety policies and proceduresPerform other duties assigned

Key Accountabilities when doing field work

Load and unload trucksSpread material onto mine landsOperate tillage tools including tractors and the use of discs Knowledge of farming practices and the Nutrient Management RegulationWilling to obtain required licensingOther duties as assigned

Experience, Qualifications & Education

Three (3) years of driver/operator experience is preferredHigh school diploma or equivalentMust possess an AZ license and submit current abstracts, personal and CVOR (no demerits)Must have solid written communication skills in order to complete required paperworkMust have exceptional verbal communication skills to be able to interact with internal and external customersPrior experience operating heavy machinery typical within a mining environment, including farm in an agricultural environment is a definite asset. However, we are willing to train potential candidates who demonstrate a willingness to learn Must be able to exercise good judgment and think proactivelyExcellent customer service skills, with strong work ethic and positive attitude
