Function Description

Global Commercial Services (GCS) serves millions of business customers around the world, from mom-and-pop shops to approximately 60% of the Fortune 500. We are the number one issuer of commercial cards globally, the number one issuer of small business cards in the U.S. and represent approximately 40% of the company’s total revenues. Our vision is to be essential to our customers’ businesses every day. We do that by offering a diverse range of payment and cashflow tools our customers need to run and grow their businesses, from a wide range of traditional card products, to working capital and supply chain financing, to new digital solutions that make it easy for our customers to manage a full range of their financial and payment needs.

The Client hierarchy- COE focus is on understanding the client needs, providing consultancy, and execution to provide accurate and compliant data to global commercial clients. The team partners closely with the client, strategic partners, and multiple internal American Express teams – Client Management (CLM), Implementation (IM), Central Onboarding Team (COT), Account Consultancy Team (ACT), PA Servicing, Global New Accounts (GNA), Technologies and Operational Excellence (OE). The incumbent in this role will be working to solve a major client pain point and drive adoption of digital products with enhanced data capabilities, responsibilities include the following:

Project Manage data cleanse for commercial programs in collaboration with Account Development/Client Managers, Client Program Administrators, 3rd parties, Blue Box Technologies, Client’s technologies, and Data Strategy team. Client Issue Resolution: Provide extraordinary customer issue resolution on data related queries. This requires customer centricity to understand each client’s need. Driving innovation and change by identifying trends and flagging opportunities for better customer experience and adopting digitization. Work with senior internal stakeholders and external clients and therefore have demonstrated capability in stakeholder and client management. Demonstrated ability to think out of the box and bring continuous improvement to the process with innovative thinking and ideas. Ability to analyze external sources of information (Example: LexisNexis, D&B reports, SOS, etc.) Review all AmEx relationships at Obligor level and utilize other public tools as needed to verify legal entity. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support accurate calculation of incentives. Deep expertise in date- creating reports/dashboards, data analysis, presentation. Independently provide consult to client managers on insights and recommendations Effective delivery on tight timelines with high quality Other Departmental and administrative work Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights Develop dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker. Write clean, efficient SQL queries and Python/R scripts for data manipulation and analysis Strong proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (Python preferred). Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders. Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality. Hours of Operations – Monday to Friday, 3:30 PM to 12 AM IST

Minimum Qualifications

Graduate with 5+ years of analytical experience in US MNC/Consulting/Banking Data analysis, reporting, and access management. Stakeholder and Client Management Proven ability to learn new technical skills in a corporate environment – prior experience working on web-based database management platforms, AS400 based mainframe/green screens and MySQL query-based tools. Proven ability to learn new skills in a technical environment. Strong flexibility/adaptability to manage multiple tasks within stringent time limits while working with minimal supervision. A team player should possess the skills to work and support team members. Behavioral Skills/Capabilities: Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. The incumbent should have an overall performance rating of 5 or above in the last review.
