Job Description
Join our team as an Application Engineer, where you will be instrumental in managing sales projects aimed at developing custom heating solutions for diverse customer segments. Our products prevent freezing, maintain critical process temperatures, and keep contents flowing across hundreds of industries.
ResponsibilitiesAct as a technical and sales contact during the product development phase for major customer projects.Oversee documentation and approval of customer specifications, assisting in quote and proposal preparation.Engage in sales and technical presentations to prospective or existing customers.Coordinate quotes, technical information, dimensions, and other parameters among customers, engineering, manufacturing, and sales team.Ensure accurate design and compliance with customer specifications during the transfer of new orders.Coordinate engineering changes with customers and various departments to ensure satisfaction.Oversee pricing, shipping schedules, and other parameters based on customer requests.Review and facilitate prompt return of approval drawings from engineering to the customer.Ensure development, design, and testing requirements are met, coordinating with engineering, manufacturing, and testing lab.Work with sales and distribution partners to meet customer needs, forecast future needs, and grow the business.Act as a key contact for determining new products and materials based on customer interest.Travel to customer sites as required for presentations, measurements, and discussions.Conduct pricing reviews of major accounts and recommend guidelines based on profit and marketing pricing.Assist inside sales by providing quotes, customer contact, and resolving technical issues.Essential SkillsAssociates degree in Mechanical Engineering with one co-op experience in a manufacturing environment.Good written and oral communication skills.1-3 years of technical support or sales experience.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.Mechanical aptitude and ability to interact with customers.Experience in sales, application engineering, and technical support.Work Environment
This role is based at the corporate office in Columbus, OH, with minimal travel required (0-5%) to customer sites.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.44 - $36.06/hr.
