Job Title: Sales Engineer

Job Description

This essential role as an Application Engineer/Technical Sales Engineer is responsible for managing current business and relationships, as well as developing Fastener Insertion Technology plans and strategies for sales growth. You will collaborate closely with the Director of Product Marketing to achieve these objectives.

ResponsibilitiesProvide 80% technical focus involving pre and post technical support for self-clinch, rivets, and rivet nuts, along with troubleshooting and programming machines like press machines. Robotics experience is a plus.Manage 20% of account-related tasks including inventory coordination, pricing strategy, product line support, and customer relationship management.Utilize capital equipment sales experience, manufacturing production knowledge, and technical service expertise to generate sustainable growth leveraging mechanical engineering and Fastener/Hardware Component industry experience.Oversee process management from customer engagement to engineering projects, installation of equipment and hand tools, initial production ramp-up, and responding to issues.Coordinate with various departments to resolve component issues and meet customer needs, aiming for customer satisfaction and securing both re-orders and new orders.Drive demand creation and fulfillment, including forecasting demand and fulfilling orders.Conduct manufacturing reviews and cost analyses to help customers enhance production efficiencies and execute cost-reduction projects using cost-effective solutions and Component and Insertion technologies.Develop robust customer relationships to leverage influencing and leadership skills, securing customer support for fastening and component solutions.Foster a one-team spirit and influence cross-functional teams across different time zones and locations.Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice by management.Essential SkillsExperience in press equipment and hand-held installation tooling, fasteners, rivets, rivet-nuts, and screws.Sheet metal fabrication industry experience.Comprehensive knowledge of fasteners and their applications in sheet metal gauges, grip ranges, and clamp forces.Self-motivated and detail-oriented; capable of prioritizing and multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work both independently and as a team player.Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).Capital equipment sales.Pre and post sales technical support.Additional Skills & QualificationsRequired: 5-10 years of experience.Experience in press equipment and hand-held installation tooling.Knowledge of fasteners, rivets, rivet-nuts, and screws.Comprehensive understanding of sheet metal fabrication industry.Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $90000.00/hr.
