Adhere to ALL plant/safety rules and maintain proper attendance standards according to company policy.Performs a range of electrical, electronic, mechanical, plumbing, electromechanical assembly operations to build, test and pack dishwashers. Assists with production of sub-assemblies and raw in process manufactured parts used in the assembly process. Assist as general labor in fabrication dept....Follows standard operating procedures, verifies, parts inspection sheets, quality checks procedures....Uses hand and portable powered tools and fixtures, fixed and direct reading gauges, pipe threading, painting, burring, spot and stud welding equipment along with hoists and various electrical test equipment to produce product. Also may be required to use power-nailing guns/staplers.Completely assembles units /sub-assemblies or assists in production of manufactured parts in proper sequence.... Corrects faults detected through testing, in process and quality checks. Also required to perform operations necessary to trim/pack units for shipment, using necessary hand tools....Performs other related or associated duties as assigned, directed, or required.....Provide assistance to other teammates, support product assembly or parts manufacture activities to ensure product quality, schedule attainment and to maintain an injury free work environment and spirit of cooperation throughout the facility.....  Be involved in continuous improvement of work functions and support and work within demand flow/just in time manufacturing processes and techniques to include KANBAN replenishment and inventory systems. May be required to be licensed to operate a powered industrial lift truck and perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

High School/Vocational School Graduate or GED required.Entry Level. In an industrial/manufacturing environment.Preferred: 1+ year experience in manufacturing environment; 6 months of quality checking or testing of equipmentMust be able to learn and practice safetyAbility to be self-directed; team-player; learning multi assembly or general labor workstations in multi-production lines or departments in support of the plant needsAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, quality documents, and Standard Operating Instructions or procedure manualsAbility to write and understand and practice Lean Principles, Kanban, etc...Ability to perform basic math skills and/or computer skillsAbility to problem solve, deal with concrete variables in standardized situations, and interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formUnderstand and perform basic quality checksUse of basic hand tools (i.e. wrench, hammer, tap, drivers, tape measure); power or air portable tools (i.e. torque tools, hoist, Nailer/stapler); other tools such as: gauges, burring/metal, cleaning equipment, electrical/electronic testing equipment. May be required/licensed to drive an industrial lift truck

Primary responsibilities performed in Manufacturing and non-air-conditioned environmentPPE required: Steel toe shoes, eye protection, sleeves and gloves if required.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand at work area; use fingers, hands and arms and walk frequently. The employee occasionally must lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.First Shift Operation Monday - Fridays (currently: 6am to 2:30pm)Limited overtime
