Process Overview

Global Markets Operations (GMO) provides controlled and cost effective on-boarding, client services and post-trade processes in support of our Global Markets, Corporate Investments, Corporate Treasury, Global Wealth and Investment Management, and LaSalle Global Trust Services businesses.

Within Global Markets, FICC and Derivatives Core Operations (FDCO) teams are the primary interface to our FICC & Equity Trading partners for all post-trade operations. FDCO performs end to end trade control, confirmation and settlements processes across FICC & Equity businesses and provides utility OTC derivative confirmation and settlement services.

OTC Derivative Confirmations operations team facilitates confirmation of trades across various derivative products through paper & electronic platforms. OTC Derivative Confirmations India team is currently the major hub for Derivative Confirmations operations and manages 90% of the volume globally across various client segments and geographies.

Job Description

This operations role will be responsible for working in one of the sub functions (Confirmation Drafting / Chasing / Matching)  within OTC Derivative Confirmations  processes during APAC, EMEA and AMRS hours.

Responsibilities

The candidate needs to have a strong Derivative domain knowledge with adequate experience in OTC Derivative ConfirmationsThe candidate needs to have a strong understanding of the Trade Life cycleEnsure that the process transactions are processed as per procedures, the quality of the transactions is compliant with predefined parameters.The candidate needs to build and strengthen key client / Front Office / Middle Office / OCRM relationship which is essential requirement of the processes.Work on process improvements, industry initiatives impacting confirmations and STP / automation initiatives.Responsible for clearing of items on the daily exception reports, report & escalate the exceptions /issues  to management in timely mannerEnsuring timely delivery of critical reports to various stake holders

Requirements

Education - Post Graduate/ MBA FinanceCertifications If any : NAExperience Range : 6-8 Years

Foundational  skills:

Excellent OTC Derivatives domain knowledgeStrong verbal and written communication skills and effective interpersonal skillsProven analytical skills including data reconciliation and interpretation.Strong attention to detail and accuracy with an ability to notice minor discrepancies / issuesAbility to work autonomously and deliver results in a high pressure environment.Ability to understand the process risk and ensure timely reporting and escalation of critical risks & non-compliance with policies, standards and limitsAbility to challenge the status quo and drive the automation /process efficiency.
