We steward precious resources by finding more sustainable solutions. **Job Summary** We are looking for an Assistant Resident Engineer to work on various Roadway Transportation construction projects located in San Diego County. This position will be on-site and involves inspecting construction procedures and verifying that work completed by contractors is in accordance with contract documents for roadway projects. **Responsibilities & Qualifications** **Responsibilities:** + Abide by and enforce construction safety rules and regulations. + Read and understand contract documents, including plans and specifications. + Complete daily inspection reports. + Prepare written reports. + Perform inspection of roadway construction. + Oversee construction of wet and dry utilities. + Monitor traffic control. + Assist with inspection of large concrete pours. + Assist in the documentation of pay quantities and development of the Final Estimate. + Assure general compliance with standards and specifications. + Assure documentation, and accuracy of monthly progress payments. + Accurately track change order work. + Log and track material inspection, certification, and acceptance for the project. + Other duties as needed. **Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with Engineer in Training Certification required, a P.E. License (State of California) preferred but not required. + 7+ years of relevant experience with the concepts and practices within the highway and construction field. + Must have the ability to assist in the resolution of project issues effectively and efficiently. + Client focused, always striving to give clients the best solutions. + Strong commitment to innovation by creating new and better ways to solve clients’ toughest challenges. + High levels of integrity, always doing the right thing in an ethical, fair, and sustainable way. + Demonstrated experience of collaboration in a diverse and inclusive team, working together toward technical excellence. **Additional Information** T.Y. Lin International is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $86,000 - $128,000 annually for this position and local market.
