Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include: (i) spearheading the due diligence process for new cash flow transactions, inclusive of financial due diligence, and leading diligence activities, (ii) preparing pre-screen memos and credit approval documents for presentation to investment committee, (iii) preparing, reviewing and sensitizing financial models, (iv) organizing and managing the closing process on new transactions, and (v) managing and monitoring of portfolio accounts.

There is opportunity for increased responsibility as the Associate progresses from execution and portfolio support to eventually leading key elements of the transaction execution process.

Throughout the underwriting and portfolio management processes the Associate will interact with multiple stakeholders.  You will interact with sponsor coverage teams, credit professionals, capital markets, private equity sponsors, company management, and investment bankers, as well as legal counsel, loan closers and operations personnel.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent work experience.2-4 years’ experience in leveraged finance at a commercial or investment bank with strong commercial credit experience.Superior written and verbal communication skills.Strong analytical skills and proficiency with financial statements.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with little supervision.Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.        

Desired Qualifications:

Graduate of a formalized credit training programExperience underwriting or managing leveraged loan transactions.Prior Healthcare sector experience

The estimated salary range for this position is $85,000 USD to $115,000 USD. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
