The Business:

The Natural Resources business team have a thorough understanding of the risks encountered by companies in the Upstream, Downstream Energy and Metals & Mining sectors. We ensure clients have access to competitive worldwide markets and broader, more competitive risk transfer products. Additionally, our extensive industry expertise enables us to offer advanced risk management strategies, including which risks should be retained or transferred, optimizing cost of capital, managing retained risk, and employing the latest identification and mitigation techniques.

The Role

The Role is responsible to provide coordinated service and placement activities that meet the client’s insurance and risk management needs. Responsible for ensuring relevant regulatory and technical standards are met. Leverages advanced skill set with Natural Resources knowledge to design and consult with clients on insurance coverage and services; uses understanding of clients’ needs to expand business opportunities and further solidify client relationships. Ability to focus on delivering exceptional customer service while working in a fast paced environment with minimal supervision. Essential duties include but are not limited to:

Doing daily service of account handler, including renewal, insurance or claim consultancy, regular visit, training and etc. Gathering, analyzing and translating information Penetration to the existing client, including insurance proposal, (re)insurance placement; Risk management for the client and to work in coordination with Risk Management Department, Claim Department and insurance company for it; To update the client with market news and trends; Ensure the accuracy of business forecasts with monthly actual revenue being consistent with data from internal systems. Follow the end-to-end insurance broker process to adequately meet internal policies and procedures. Coordinate and assume ultimate responsibility for the comprehensive delivery of Willis Towers Watson’s service to the client compliant with Group policies across all territorial, legal and regulatory domains and ensuring the integrity of said provision at all times.  Conceptualize the insurance offers and draft technical studies based on the client’s needs  Manage and negotiate insurance placements and renewals with carriers. Working with other Sectors to share knowledge, skills, experiences and resources in purpose of constant improvement on overall performance of the company. Complete other tasks as assigned by line manager.

The Requirements

College degree or above, preferably majoring in Insurance, Law, Finance, International Trade, Economics or Risk Management. Proven years of relevant insurance working experience. Good understanding of the broking business and markets; Understand client needs and market trend; Strong verbal and written communication skills in Mandarin and English. Detail oriented with experience using data. The ability to work independently with reliable performance.  A robust team player with mature customer servicing skills. A quick learner to understand client needs and market trend. Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
