Overview:

 

97.1 FM Talk (KFTK - St. Louis) is looking for a full-time Associate Producer to join our team! The right person for this position will have a passion for Talk radio and a desire to grow the brand on-air, in the community, and on social media; with significant attentiveness to digital content production.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

Assist Executive Producer in overall management and direction of the morning showOperate a studio console during live broadcastsEdit audio content for distribution across various platformsEdit and title podcasts to optimize reach for distribution across various platformsNavigate breaking newsWrite, develop, edit, and publish content and copy for a variety of digital platforms across the station and individual shows - including websites, blogs, videos, social media posts/reels, and moreIdentify areas of opportunity and growth for the radio stationProtect station image and licensing in accordance with applicable agenciesOversee and log station inventory, report discrepancies Qualifications

Required & Preferred:

Minimum one year of experience producing or editing radio/audio contentInterest in news, current events, history, and pop cultureProficiency in audio editingProficiency in video editingSharp attention to detail and ability to work effectively under pressureExcellent communication skills, written and oral Important Notes:
