Description We are looking for an accomplished Attorney with a strong background in civil defense litigation to join our team in Los Angeles, California. Our firm is distinguished by its extensive experience in handling complex cases across a variety of practice areas, including premises liability, employment law, and catastrophic personal injury. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented legal expert eager to work alongside experienced trial lawyers and contribute to a broad spectrum of litigation matters. Responsibilities: • Represent clients in civil defense cases, including preparing legal strategies and providing counsel on complex litigation matters. • Conduct thorough research and analysis of legal issues related to premises liability, employment law, and other areas of practice. • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and appellate briefs. • Manage discovery processes, including conducting depositions and responding to interrogatories. • Collaborate with colleagues and external parties to ensure effective claim administration and case resolution. • Advocate for clients in court proceedings, including trials and hearings, to achieve favorable outcomes. • Provide guidance on risk management and compliance to clients involved in business disputes and construction-related legal matters. • Stay up-to-date with legal developments and precedents to inform case strategies. • Supervise and mentor entry-level attorneys or legal staff as needed to support case preparation and client service. • Handle insurance coverage disputes and offer strategic advice in defense litigation scenarios. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil litigation or defense litigation. • Proven expertise in handling cases involving premises liability, employment law, and catastrophic personal injury. • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills. • Ability to effectively manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Excellent communication and advocacy skills, both in written and oral forms. • Familiarity with claim administration processes and discovery procedures. • Licensed to practice law in the state of California and in good standing with the California Bar. • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a team and independently when necessary.
