Responsibilities The Automation Manager role contributes to the success of the warehouse operations and automation projects by providing leadership for site operations as it pertains to automation. Responsibilities include: training, development of standard operating procedures, continuous improvement on developed processes, managing multiple complex projects with competing demands, and utilizing problem solving skills to ensure the successful implementation and rollout of automation projects and local sustainment to hit targeted KPIs/Metrics. The Automation Leader will oversee the performance of warehouse automation systems, ensuring optimal functionality and efficiency. The ideal candidate possesses a mechanical and technical background, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities This role will be responsible for all automation projects for the site Ensure operations are running smoothly with correct escalation for any issues Deploy strategies/processes/procedures on site to meet the automation equipment potential. Implement process improvements when gaps are found to correct and improve as the site navigates the implementation of automation technology. Demonstrate strong leadership skills to coach, develop and influence multiple positions including operators, GUIs, schedulers, wranglers etc. Track performance and important KPIs to ensure the health of the automation systems. Work cross functionally with multiple teams including site ops, IT, OT, external vendors, engineering, inventory, and maintenance to ensure successful project execution. Utilize E80 UI, Mujin controller, WMS and CMMS for visibility and maintenance of automation equipment. Support various components and activities spanning the project management life cycle: such as business case analysis, detailed requirements, software design/testing/deployment and issues management. Support commissioning, IFT, FAT, qualification and verification of automation equipment/systems. Deliver effective change leadership while driving automation changes and getting buy in from the team on all levels. Maintain effective communication with external project teams and internal operations teams to minimize impact on operations while advancing project state and communicating out issues as they arise while also pushing to get these issues resolved. Create and update the playbook for automation on site through developing SOPs and training the site team. Maintain a “self-starter” mentality with the ability to manage yourself and time effectively without clear cut guidance. Compensation and Benefits: The expected compensation range for this position is between $89,000 - $149,000. Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process. Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 10% of annual salary paid out annually. Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
