Job Title: Avionics Technician

Job Description:

The Avionics Technician is responsible for performing a variety of troubleshooting, fabrication, repair, modification, and installation tasks on a Gulfstream contract with the US Navy. *4 openings available.

Responsibilities:Read and interpret wiring diagrams and installation drawings to facilitate system inspections, troubleshooting, and installations.Engage in wire harness marking and fabrication, system integrations, and troubleshooting on aircraft.Ensure compliance of aircraft-related tasks to FAA requirements (43.13, EWIS, etc.).Accomplish safe and compliant avionics installations in accordance with released data.Essential Skills:Modification, fabrication, and wire harness installation and fabrication experience.Aircraft modification experience.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.Troubleshooting skills.Additional Skills & Qualifications:4+ years of experience as an Avionics Technician.4 years of MRO modification experience.FCC or A license is preferred.Eligibility for clearance.Experience with Learjet 31, 35, and 36, as well as Gulfstream 4 and Gulfstream 4SP is preferred.Flexibility to work any shift.Must provide own shadowed tools.Why Work Here?

Work EnvironmentWork in a hangar environment. There are two shifts available: Monday - Friday 6AM-4PM or Monday - Friday 3PM-1AM. Must be comfortable with overtime, expecting to work at least 50-60 hours a week.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Newport News, Virginia.4+ month contract.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.
