Behavioral School Aide
Maxim Healthcare Services is hiring for a Behavioral Aide to work in students in the school setting who require instructional and/or behavioral services and assistance.

Responsibilities:Assists student(s), one on one or as a classroom aide, with meeting objectives/goals as stated in their IEP including goals related to math, reading, speech, and independent skillsFacilitates teacher-directed learning activities that involve lesson plans, worksheets, reinforcement systems, small groups, social games, work assistance, etc.Assists student(s) in the general education class setting as appropriate and directedAccompanies student(s) to, from and during recess, lunch and community experiences/outingsStrictly adheres to confidentiality requirements regarding all matters pertaining to students, parents, parent communications, and/or classroom activities. (Note: Unless instructed otherwise by supervising teacher, all parent communication is the responsibility of school personnel)Assists student(s) with prescribed program activities including those written/recommended by School PT, OT and SLP personnelImplementers/utilizes behavior management techniques at the direction of the teacher and/or other school professional (i.e. BCBA, Psychologist, etc.)Assists student(s) in the development of independent skills through self-care/personal care activities such as toileting, dressing and personal hygiene maintenance
Qualifications:Must be 18 years of age or olderHigh School Diploma or equivalent requiredExperience acting as a behavioral aide/technician preferredExcellent communication skillsTechnological proficiency, including mobile devices for documentationSuccessful completion of background screening and onboarding process requiredSuccessful completion of Maxim Orientation and Compliance training, and all other assigned trainings as applicable requiredMust meet all federal, state, local and contract requirementsProficiency in the English language requiredCurrent certificate as applicable per state and / or client requirement required
