Level 2:
Analyzing employee benefits data: The Benefits Analyst II in HR is responsible for analyzing employee benefits data, such as utilization rates, costs, and trends, to inform decision-making and identify areas for improvement.Supporting benefits program design and implementation: The Benefits Analyst II in HR should support the design and implementation of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other benefits.Assisting with benefits enrollment: The Benefits Analyst II in HR should assist with the employee benefits enrollment process, including communication, documentation, and tracking.Ensuring compliance with regulations: The Benefits Analyst II in HR should ensure that the company's employee benefits programs comply with all relevant laws and regulations, such as ERISA, ACA, and HIPAA.Providing benefits education and communication: The Benefits Analyst II in HR should assist with educating and communicating with employees about their benefits programs, including plan details, options, and changes. This includes providing resources and support to help employees understand and make informed decisions about their benefits.Level 3:
All of the duties included in the Benefits Analyst II plus:
Managing benefits data and processes improvement.Conducting research and analysis on benefits trends and best practices.Providing guidance to employees for escalated claims.Oversee certain benefit processes and vendor partner operations.Using experience and knowledge to lead many of the analyst functions instead of assisting in such areas.What We Are Looking For
Level 2:
Benefits program knowledge: Strong knowledge of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other benefits.Analytical skills: The ability to analyze and interpret data related to employee benefits, such as utilization rates, costs, and trends, and use the data to inform decision-making.Regulatory compliance: Knowledge of laws and regulations related to employee benefits, such as ERISA, ACA, and HIPAA, and the ability to ensure compliance.Attention to detail: The ability to ensure accuracy and attention to detail when managing benefits programs, including documentation and reporting.Communication skills: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate with employees, vendors, and other stakeholders about benefits programs.Project management: The ability to manage projects and timelines related to benefits programs, such as open enrollment, plan changes, and vendor management.Data management: Experience in managing employee benefits data, including tracking, reporting, and analysis.Problem-solving: The ability to identify and solve problems related to benefits programs, such as resolving employee inquiries and addressing compliance issues.Customer service: A strong customer service mindset to support employees and provide resources and support related to benefits programs.Collaboration: Working closely with HR teams and other stakeholders to develop and implement benefits programs requires strong collaboration skills.Level 3 must have:
A thorough understanding of employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance plans, and other benefits programs.Strong analytical skills to evaluate benefits data, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations to improve benefits programs.The ability to communicate complex benefits information to employees in a clear and concise manner.The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure that they are delivered on time and within budget.Strong vendor management skills to manage relationships with benefits vendors and negotiate contracts.The ability to identify and solve complex benefits-related problems, such as claims issues or compliance concerns.A commitment to continuous learning and staying up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in employee benefits.Application window is anticipated to close 30 days from original posting date.
