The Benefits Manager, Strategy reports to the Global Benefits Director and leads plan design projects, communications and other strategic initiatives for Graphic Packaging’s global retirement, health & welfare and wellbeing programs.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Participate actively with the Director in strategic business planning processes and assist with implementing short- and long-term goals and objectives.
+ Lead and support strategic projects, monitor competitive trends in global health and welfare benefits and/or retirement benefits, and evaluate alternatives.
+ Participate in the selection of program partners and ensure business objectives and requirements are clearly understood during implementation.
+ Work closely with the Director to provide management and oversight of the pricing and financial accounting for self-insured and other benefit plans. Assist with preparation of reports for leadership.
+ Maintain a thorough and detailed understanding of all plan provisions and requirements. Ensure compliance with governmental regulations related to benefit plans by keeping current on laws and regulatory changes. Collaborate with counsel as needed.
+ Partner with the benefits operations manager and administration leads on the implementation of changes to programs.
+ Consult and collaborate with the Labor Relations team and provide data to support bargaining strategy.
+ Partner with the Director to develop and execute a strategic communication plan. Review and develop engaging and informative content for benefit programs, such as benefit guides, mailings, flyers, posters, and presentations.
+ Review and edit benefit communications including mandatory compliance documents such as SPDs, SARs, SBCs, and update vendor websites/portals as needed. Manage drafting and review of plan documents.
+ Develop and foster positive working relationships with functional teams (e.g., HR partners, Payroll, Legal, HRIS, Labor, IT, Accounting, Treasury and others).
**Requirements:**
The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:
+ Minimum 7-10 years of experience in employee benefits in a large, complex organization or in benefits consulting.
+ Strong knowledge of 401(k), pension, and health & welfare benefit programs, financial management and best practices as well as related governmental/legislative regulations (ERISA, DOL, HIPAA, ACA, etc.), including knowledge of plan design and interpretation. Experience with collectively bargained plans is a plus.
+ Strong data analytics skills.
+ Excellent written communication skills with the ability to develop, edit and review benefit communications, vendor websites/portals, and compliance documentation.
+ Strong problem-solving and organizational skills with the ability to optimize the use of all available resources and deliver on multiple priorities.
+ Strong project management skills, including the ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines.
+ Strong business acumen.
+ Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact with staff, at all levels of the organization, as well as outside professionals and service providers.
+ Flexible, team player that can lead effectively as well as provide support to others.

**Pay Range:** **$104,850.00** - **$139,800.00**
