Job Summary

Summary<br>Temporary general service support roles including, environmental service aide, materials handler, linen associate, patient transport, cafeteria worker, lifeguard and swim instructor. This job can also cover any other service support roles.<br><br>Does this position require Patient Care?<br>No<br><br>Essential Functions<br>-ESD aide: Completes work in assigned areas by cleaning, sanitizing, and polishing environmental surfaces according to departmental and hospital policies & procedures. Uses a variety of chemicals and equipment. Cleans & prepares post-discharge patient rooms according to department procedures. Secures dysfunctional equipment against unauthorized use. Reports breakdowns to supervisor.

-Materials/Linen/Mail Handler: Responsible for assuring supplies, equipment, and all materials are correctly receipted and distributed daily. Responsible for handling, inspecting, and processing new and clean linen stocks and assembling linen packs, and issuing linen. Also cleans the work area and performs any related tasks as assigned or instructed. Responsible for handling incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries as well as ensuring that mail is sorted, distributed, and processed accurately and in a timely manner.

-Patient Transport: Responsible for moving patients to various locations throughout the hospital.

-Cafeteria Worker: Performs a wide variety of food preparation and service duties as well as health and cleanliness. May provide cashier services.
<br>
-Lifeguard/Swim Instructor: Responsible for ensuring the safety of all individuals in the aquatic therapy pool and related facilities. This role involves monitoring pool activities, enforcing safety rules, and providing emergency response as needed. <br>


 

Qualifications

Education High School Diploma or Equivalent required Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? Yes Licenses and Credentials Experience Related experience 0-1 year preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Requires good verbal communication skills to interact with patients, visitors & staff in all situations.
