Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and organized Billing Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and distributing client invoices, maintaining incoming purchase order systems, and assisting in collections for past due accounts. This role also includes providing administrative support to office staff and managing various office-related tasks.
Responsibilities
+ Prepare and distribute client invoices.
+ Maintain incoming purchase order systems.
+ Assist in collections for past due accounts.
+ Provide administrative support to office staff.
+ Answer and direct phone calls.
+ Scan and copy construction plans using a large format printer.
+ Prepare letters, proposals, memos, applications, and transmittals.
+ Maintain and order office supplies.
+ Conduct online deed research in local counties.
+ Make deliveries to county offices and clients.
+ Help maintain filing systems.
+ Support marketing and social media efforts.
+ Assist with planning employee functions.
Essential Skills
+ Invoicing and billing experience.
+ Experience as an office administrative assistant.
+ Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and Word.
+ Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
+ Excellent time management, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
+ High school diploma required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Knowledge of the engineering, surveying, or construction industry is a plus.
+ Notary Public certification or willingness to become one.
+ Advanced education or classes are a plus.
+ Good driving record required.
+ Customer service and vendor communication experience.
+ Basic Excel experience.
Work Environment
This is a fully onsite position with working hours from 8 am to 5 pm. We will soon be implementing summer hours, which include a half-day on Fridays. The current location is in Mechanicsville, with a potential move to Innsbrook by the end of the year.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $60000.00/yr.
