Biomedical Repair Technician (BMET)

The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for a Biomedical Repair Technician (BMET) to provide research support administration services for our government customer in San Antonio, TX.

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Receiving and accounting for the equipment

Inventory and technical inspection of equipment

Scheduled maintenance and servicing of equipment

Effecting repairs on unserviceable equipment

Prepare unserviceable equipment for evacuation 

Conducting procurement actions for repair parts/consumables and tools/equipment operations.

Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

 REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

Successful completion of the DoD Biomedical Equipment Technician program or an associate’s degree in biomedical electronics technology from an accredited institution and be a Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET), Certified Laboratory Equipment Specialist (CLES).

 REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

One year experience in repair and maintenance of dental products and equipment related to research. 

Ability to install, maintain, service, modify, troubleshoot and calibrate a variety of environmental compliance devices by interpreting engineering and vendor information, schematic diagrams and graphic illustrations..

Must be able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC)
