Job Overview:

In this role, the Associate will be an integral member of the BXMT Finance team, with a focus on financial analytics for BXMT.  The focus of the team is to develop analytics and produce reporting of BXMT’s financial results for key decision makers and business leaders to support strategic business decisions.  Responsibilities will also include addressing a variety of management reporting and analytics, efficiency/technology initiatives, and support for the broader BXMT team.  The Financial Analytics Associate will contribute to and work closely with the broader Blackstone Real Estate Debt Strategies group (BREDS), including the investment team, capital markets, asset management, operations, financial reporting and legal/compliance.

Job Description:

Develop analyses and presentations supporting BXMT’s executive team in various business initiatives and strategic decisionsCoordinate with the Investment, Asset Management, and Operations teams to understand the latest performance and composition of BXMT’s business, capitalization, and loan portfolioCollaborate with the BXMT Corporate Strategy and Shareholder Relations functions to prepare quarterly board of directors and earnings release materialsDrive analyses and diligence processes and provide support for public and private securities offerings and other financing and capital markets transactionsAssist in preparation of business financial forecasts and weekly reporting for senior managementLiaise with internal and external counsel regarding various business activities, including capital markets and other transactionsExecute ad hoc projects, and generate weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting for investors and management team

Qualifications:

BS (or above) in Finance, Accounting, or Economics A strong academic record4+ years of finance-related experience is requiredPrior work experience with real estate finance, banking/capital markets, and/or corporate finance is preferredStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong analytical and quantitative skills, particularly using Excel; comfort working with large data sets and identifying data inconsistencies and patternsProduces creative, compelling, detailed materials; strong proficiency in PowerPointEffectively multi-tasks and executes a wide range of assignmentsSelf-starter, detail-oriented and highly organized with strong time management skillsCollaborative team player with a high degree of intellectual curiosityPossesses a strong work ethic, professional integrity, a positive attitude and genuine passion for excellence

Expected annual base salary range:

$105,000 - $150,000

Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.

Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
