Description
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join a growing, locally owned business in Honolulu, Hawaii. This role is a blend of front office administration and financial management, requiring expertise in bookkeeping, payroll, and financial reporting. Responsibilities:
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including processing invoices, tracking payments, and reconciling accounts.
• Reconcile credit card and bank statements, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded in QuickBooks.
• Support payroll processing by calculating hours, managing direct deposits, and assisting with tax payments and 401(k) contributions.
• Prepare and deliver financial reports, maintaining accurate records for internal and external review.
• Oversee front office operations, including administrative tasks and maintaining an organized work environment.
• Assist with onboarding new employees by setting up systems, configuring benefits, and maintaining employee records.
• Monitor and review fees from platforms such as PayPal and Shopify to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Collaborate with vendors to handle payments and maintain positive relationships.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and contribute to month-end and year-end close processes.
• Provide support for inventory and order processing as needed.
Requirements • At least 2 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or office administration.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook and Excel.
• Strong skills in reconciling accounts, including bank and credit card statements.
• Experience with payroll processing, including direct deposits, tax payments, and benefits contributions.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to manage diverse responsibilities effectively.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with team members and vendors.
• Familiarity with inventory or order processing systems is a plus.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
