Description We are looking for a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team in Charleston, South Carolina, as part of a Contract-to-permanent opportunity. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing financial operations for our property management business, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all bookkeeping processes. Responsibilities: • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate transactions. • Perform regular bank reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy and resolve discrepancies. • Utilize Yardi Voyager or other Yardi software to manage property management accounting tasks. • Assist with month-end closing procedures to maintain organized and up-to-date financial records. • Prepare financial reports and budgets, especially during the annual budgeting season. • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards in all financial activities. • Collaborate with team members to streamline financial workflows and improve efficiency. • Input and manage financial data with precision using Microsoft Excel and other tools. Requirements • Proven experience in bookkeeping, preferably within the property management industry. • Proficiency in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation processes. • Familiarity with Yardi Voyager or other Yardi property management software is highly preferred. • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting. • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management abilities. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a focused and efficient environment. • Knowledge of property management accounting principles and practices. • Availability to work the designated schedule, including Monday through Thursday and shorter Fridays.
