Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team on a contract basis in New York, New York. This role will focus on managing essential financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all processes. Ideal candidates will bring expertise in Sage 300 and a background in the construction industry. Responsibilities: • Manage full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure timely and accurate financial processing. • Prepare and handle AIA billing in accordance with industry standards and company requirements. • Maintain accurate financial records through efficient data entry and bookkeeping practices. • Utilize Sage 300 software to streamline accounting operations and reporting. • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and improve financial workflows. • Generate reports using Microsoft Excel to track and analyze financial performance. • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines in all financial transactions. • Support audits and provide documentation as needed to ensure transparency. • Monitor and update financial records to maintain a clear audit trail. • Provide administrative support to the finance team as required. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. • Strong bookkeeping skills with attention to detail and accuracy. • Proficiency in Sage 300 software is highly preferred. • Familiarity with AIA billing and construction industry practices. • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting. • Effective organizational and time management skills. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. • Strong communication skills for interacting with colleagues and vendors.
