We are seeking a strategic and systems-minded **Business Architect** to join our team! The Business Architect is a pivotal role that focuses on designing and overseeing the transformation of our organization by developing a holistic view of our business capabilities, value streams, and processes, ensuring alignment with our company strategy, and guiding the implementation of new initiatives through business architecture models and frameworks; effectively bridging the gap between business strategy and operational execution, as well as aligning our operational processes to our ERP system and tech stack. This role will serve as bridge between business functions and technical teams, ensuring our IT platform is designed and implemented to support real-world operational workflows, data flows, and business goals across the enterprise.
**Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:**
+ Strategic Planning and Management: Develop and execute the strategic roadmap for enterprise applications to ensure alignment with the organization's goals and objectives. This involves collaborating with senior management to understand business needs and translating them into technical requirements.
+ Architecture and Design: Validate functional architecture that supports enterprise goals, scalability, and cross-functional integrations. Ensure system configuration reflects business logic, workflows, and data structures.
+ Process Optimization and Gap Analyss: Identify gaps between existing system capabilities and business needs; recommend solutions or workarounds. Evaluate manual processes that need to be retired, integrated, or redesigned.
+ Business Transformation Opportunities: Assess current business operations to identify areas for improvement and potential new initiatives to drive growth and efficiency.
+ Business change initiatives: Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to design and implement changes aligned with the business architecture, including process improvements, system upgrades, and organizational restructuring.
+ Stakeholder Engagement & Change Management: Serve as a key liaison between the business and IT technical teams, fostering collaboration and clarity. Support training, communication, and adoption initiatives during system rollouts or upgrades. Communicate complex business architecture concepts to senior leadership and key stakeholders, gaining buy-in and support for strategic decisions.
+ Evaluating technology impact: Assess how technology investments can support business strategy and ensuring alignment between IT architecture and business needs.
+ Governance and documentation: Establish and maintain business architecture standards, business capability maps, process documentation, architecture models, and governance processes. Contribute to IT governance frameworks, ensuring adherence to enterprise standards.
**Required Skills:**
+ Technical Proficiency: In-depth understanding of enterprise software applications, including ERP, CRM, HRMS, and other business-critical systems. Proficiency in software implementation, integration, and support. Expertise in business architecture frameworks and methodologies.
+ Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and align enterprise application initiatives with the organization's long-term goals. This involves planning and executing complex projects with a focus on achieving business objectives.
+ Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess business needs, identify technical solutions, and address issues related to enterprise applications.
+ Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and present findings.
+ Project Management: Strong project management skills to oversee the implementation and integration of enterprise applications within established timelines and budgets.
**Minimum requirements:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Information Systems or a related field, or relevant work experience.
+ 8 – 10 years’ experience in business architecture, process improvement, or ERP implementations
+ Proven experience in program and project management, including planning, execution, and delivery
+ Strong understanding of engineering and/or operations
+ Proven ability to translate complex operational needs into technical requirements
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information.
+ Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior executives and external stakeholders.
+ High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion in handling confidential information.
+ Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and adaptable approach.
+ Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with senior leaders across the organization.
+ AEC background and knowledge preferred
**Technical requirements:**
+ ERP experience, Deltek Vantagepoint preferred
+ Advanced MS Office skills including Excel and PowerPoint
**Compensation:**
$150,000 - $200,000 annually
The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the state’s law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
