Business Development Manager, Walmart
Position summary: Deliver annual sales, trade and profit targets on Walmart and Amazon for the assigned portfolioSupport business planning and customer strategy alignmentExecute defined business strategies and tacticsManage complex accounts, often involving advanced category management or specialized product lines requiring strong client relationship skillsContribute to eCommerce and digital business development, supporting team and corporate capability building.Oversee Amazon business performance by managing third-party partner, ensuring strategy alignment, accurate TMA tracking, and growth delivery.

Responsibilities: Customer Account Management: Demonstrate ability to drive sales results & customer engagementCustomer accountability may range from partial accountability for one or two large accounts to full accountability for multiple small accountsLead strategic business initiatives & develop joint business plans with customersNegotiate annual agreements, promo activity, listing fees, price increases & costing with customerCreate & present business reviewsGain customer approval for in-store activation (displays, signs, etc.)Address retail pricing issues with customerManage routine demand and supply issues with customerCustomer communication CAG policy, discos, pricing, recalls/product quality issues,&  complaints.Ensuring new products are listed and target distribution is reached on key items

Sales: Utilize data and available resources to identify opportunities and prepare selling presentations.Deliver strong execution of new product launches both Online and InstoreInfluence shelf set via expanded distribution & position of Conagra Brands products including endless aisle on ecomm (digital shelf)Deliver Strong Promotional Calendar Plans and Execution

Business Planning/Financial accountability: Sales analytics & insights to deliver customer solutions.Accurately forecasting sales volume & trade dollarsMaximization of trade investments and efficiencies aligned to business objectivesDeveloping, implementing, evaluating trade and shopper marketing initiatives, based on insightsBusiness and category analysis. Developing & presenting category management solutionsEvaluate customer specific reports and standardized  customer POS reports

Relationship Management within internal matrix organization Drive alignment with Walmart’s strategic pillars, including value leadership, health-conscious offerings, digital acceleration, and retail execution.Lead end to end Omni-channel activation efforts in collaboration with Commerce Marketing to ensure cohesive execution of shopper programs across all digital (Walmart.ca) and physical (Stores) touchpoints delivering a seamless shopper experience.Work in close collaboration with the account team but also with cross-functions within Shopper Marketing, Category Management, Brand marketing, Retail Sales, Finance & Supply Chain to achieve the company & customer goalsPartner with Business Analyst & Customer Finance Manager in reporting and analyticsMaximizing all sales opportunities through Perfect Store Execution & Retail Team Priority Communication Excellence

Qualifications, Education & Experience: Post-secondary education in Business administration, Commerce or related field3-5+ yrs. Consumer Packaged Goods (Foods) Sales/Key account management experienceStrong analytical skills & proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint)Strong negotiation skillsStrong business and financial acumen:  business analytics skills, customer P&L agility, ability to plan, track and evaluate trade managementProficiency in Nielsen IQAbility to make recommendations for solutions based on information gathered and analyzed from the systems previously mentionedStrong attention to detail and accuracy of data entryDemonstrated ability to manage trade spendingStrong technical, report running and analytical abilitiesStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to troubleshoot problemsAbility to work within a matrix organization. Works with Account, Sr. Business Development Manager and Sales Directors to discuss and prioritize work initiatives

Compensation:

Pay Range:$77,000-$113,000

The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
