The Research Triangle Park (RTP) facility is home to Catalent's Inhalation franchise including product development, clinical and commercial manufacturing for pMDI, DPI and Nasal Sprays. 

Catalent Pharma Solutions is Morrisville, NC is hiring a Buyer, Indirect Goods and Services who is responsible for the strategic and tactical procurement and reliable supply of indirect goods and services in support of site facilities.

This is a full-time onsite role. The core hours are Monday – Friday 8:00AM -4:30PM.

The Role:

Participate in the development and execution of short and long-term indirect sourcing strategies for the reliable supply of indirect goods and services; negotiate supply agreements for key indirect goods and services to reduce total cost and improve delivery and quality;Actively partner with key internal stakeholders to develop and action cost reduction, item rationalization, and inventory control improvement initiatives; determine and implement improvements to the tactical indirect procurement process; facilitate new supplier/ vendor set-ups within ERP system;  Assist in the evaluation and measurement of supplier quality, supplier on-time delivery, and total cost reduction for key indirect goods and services;Convert requests from end-users into PRs/POs within ERP system;  Work with internal stakeholders including but not limited to Finance to resolve any supply issues;Establish dates for end users/ liaisons to submit requisitions;Develop and implement vendor managed inventory agreements where beneficial;  Gather key performance data to measure supplier performance on an on-going basis;  Determine process/system improvements to the tactical procurement process;  Partner with internal customers to maintain consumable inventory at appropriate levels;  All other duties as assigned

The Candidate:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Industrial Technologies or related field or Associate degree in Business Administration, Engineering or related field with at least one (1) year of experience in a purchasing role required, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry;High school diploma with at least four (4) years of experience in a purchasing role required, preferably in the pharmaceutical industryEffective communication skills as apparent in the ability to concisely convey an idea, suggestion or question (technical or logistical) to an individual, team or management;Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift 0-40 pounds;
