Job Description
Responsible for monitoring, managing, planning, and purchasing materials to support the end-to-end supply chain in a fast-paced FDA regulated manufacturing environment. The individual will have a comprehensive understanding of Supply Chain operations and will work directly with internal and external customers to plan/forecast demand, create purchasing schedules, source materials, and monitor inventories to balance operational efficiencies with financial performance.
ResponsibilitiesEnsure an uninterrupted supply of materials to support manufacturing and commercial needs by adjusting delivery dates with suppliers.Collaborate with internal and external customers to plan demand, generate forecasts, and source materials, escalating change notifications from suppliers as needed.Develop and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers, driving their performance to meet deliverables consistently.Monitor On-Time Delivery (OTD) of suppliers monthly and report trends impacting manufacturing.Ensure data integrity in the ERP system for accurate ordering and reporting of delivery dates.Maintain Purchase Orders (PO) daily to ensure accurate supplier and product information, delivery locations, pricing, and payment instructions.Monitor open orders daily to ensure timely material receipts.Collaborate with Accounts Payable weekly to resolve issues related to pricing and quantities for POs and invoices.Evaluate Safety Stock (SS) levels and adjust based on inventories, lead times, and Economic Order Quantities (EOQs).Serve as the first line of defense for quality, pricing, and delivery issues, escalating to management as necessary.Order materials in compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.Work with Supplier Quality to set up new suppliers and materials and minimize product inspection delays.Handle the disposition of questionable materials appropriately and process debit memos for product returns.Monitor inventory of discontinued items to ensure replacements are available when needed.Essential SkillsIn-depth knowledge of ERP systems in a Manufacturing/Supply Chain environment.Advanced skills in Excel and Power BI for data analysis.Experience in Pharma or Biologics industry in Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing.Familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma theories and principles; Green/Black Belt preferred.Proficiency in Statistics.Experience with ERP systems for MRP, inventory management, purchasing; preferably SAP.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or related field.Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience.Certification from Association For Supply Chain Management (ASCM) preferred.Strong verbal and written communication skills and negotiation acumen.Team building and development skills.High level of autonomy and strong interpersonal skills.Work Environment
The work schedule includes four days in the office (Monday-Thursday) with the option for remote work. The environment is dynamic and requires a high level of interaction with diverse groups of people.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.
