Job Title: Procurement Specialist
Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to oversee the procurement process of goods and services. This role involves researching suppliers, negotiating contracts, managing inventory levels, and ensuring the acquisition of high-quality products at competitive prices while aligning with company needs and budget constraints.

ResponsibilitiesEvaluate and select suppliers based on price, quality, delivery time, and reliability.Negotiate purchase agreements with vendors to secure the best pricing and terms.Monitor inventory levels and forecast future needs to avoid stockouts and overstocking.Analyze spending patterns and identify opportunities to reduce costs without compromising quality.Ensure purchased goods meet quality standards and specifications.Build and maintain positive relationships with key suppliers.Manage document control related to procurement processes.Essential SkillsThree to five years of related experience in purchasing or procurement roles.Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.Experience managing supplier relationships.Strong negotiation skills.Ability to analyze data to identify cost-saving opportunities.Strong understanding of industry trends and suppliers.Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers.Knowledge of purchasing and inventory management software, including ERP and SAP.Additional Skills & QualificationsPurchasing experience: 3 years (Required).Steel industry experience: 3 years (Preferred).Blueprint reading: 2 years (Preferred).Ability to interpret and understand technical documents (Required).Work Environment

The work hours are Monday through Thursday from 7:00 am to 4:30 pm and Friday from 7:00 am to 11:00 am. The role involves collaboration with both internal teams and external suppliers, utilizing industry-standard software and technology to ensure efficient procurement processes.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $66560.00/yr.
