Job Overview: Researches, qualifies suppliers, coordinates Requests for Quotes/Requests for Bids/Requests for Proposals/Requests for Information, negotiates and facilitates procurement of products and services from suppliers at the lowest cost consistent with the standards of quality, source-reliability, and business needs. Provides training to client departments on Purchasing processes and obtains input on bidding events. Knowledgeable in commodities, Purchasing procedures and requisitioning/ordering software used by client departments. Operates with a Sustainability mindset in accordance with Enterprise initiatives.

Elevate & Thrive: Key Responsibilities

Under the guidance of the Lead Buyer, researches, qualifies suppliers, quotes/bids out, negotiates, recommends supplier based on overall value, assists in contracting for and coordinates the acquisition of products and services based on published Bidding Schedule and approved client department requests/par level requirements. Conducts site visits with Lead Buyer to review vendor operation for selection purposes, as required. Trains client departments on Purchasing procedures and processes to include electronic requisitioning and bidding. Follows-up on open purchase orders with suppliers and departments in order to expedite purchases, handle returns, and resolve invoice discrepancies. Examines terms and conditions of requisitioned products and services and coordinates with Lead Buyer to determine if additional contract review is required. Provides Vendor Management through the onboarding registration/licensure process and expedites annual renewals. Measures vendor performance. Participates in various purchasing-related work groups on a per project basis.

Job Requirements: Reflects MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING, CERTIFICATION and EXPERIENCE required in order to meet the expectation of this job:

Education and/or experience in Purchasing or related field equaling a minimum of four years. Professional Purchasing/Supply Chain Management education/certification a plus. Experience in developing RFQ’s/RFB’s/RFP’s/RFI’s, completing bid summaries with recommendations for purchases and negotiating elements to form contracts. Knowledge and experience with electronic purchasing, inventory and accounts payable environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. Ability to pass basic math and problem-solving test. Fosters excellent supplier and internal guest relationships using strong service-oriented skills that reflect the Purpose, Vision and Values of the Gaming Enterprise.
