Ward Host

As a Ward Host, you will play a key role in delivering meals and beverages to patients on wards. You’ll ensure that meals meet dietary requirements and are served with care and attention.

Key Tasks:

Take and deliver patient meal ordersServe food and drinks safely and hygienicallyMaintain ward kitchen cleanliness and food records

Ideal Candidate: Friendly, organised, and patient-focused. Previous hospitality or NHS experience is a plus.

Domestic Assistant

Domestic Assistants help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming hospital environment. You’ll support infection control through routine and deep cleaning of wards, corridors, and clinical areas.

Key Tasks:

Perform scheduled and reactive cleaning dutiesUse cleaning equipment and chemicals safelyFollow hygiene and infection control protocols

Ideal Candidate: Reliable and detail-oriented with a strong sense of responsibility. Cleaning experience preferred.

Food Service Assistant

As a Food Service Assistant, you'll support the preparation and serving of meals in the hospital kitchen and dining areas. You'll help keep food areas clean and compliant with hygiene standards.

Key Tasks:

Assist in food prep, portioning, and deliveryMaintain cleanliness in kitchen and service areasComply with food hygiene and safety standards

Ideal Candidate: Team player with food service experience. Basic food hygiene certification is desirable.

Porter

Hospital Porters are vital for the smooth transport of patients, equipment, and supplies throughout the hospital. You’ll be on the move, helping ensure safe and efficient transfers.

Key Tasks:

Transport patients, specimens, and equipmentRespond to emergency and routine requestsMaintain respect, dignity, and patient comfort at all times

Ideal Candidate: Physically fit, calm under pressure, and great with people. Previous portering or manual handling experience is helpful.
