Job Title: Certified Surgical Technologist

Schedule:

7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, Monday to Friday (rotating days)On-call requirement (40 hours per week) 3x1 opening is 36 hours per week

Seeking a dedicated Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying core cases for assigned services and performing the first scrub role, directly assisting the surgeon by passing sterile instruments and supplies at the sterile field.

Key Responsibilities:

First Scrub Role: Assist the surgeon by passing sterile instruments and supplies.Anticipate Surgeon Requests: Predict and anticipate surgeon's needs based on case knowledge.Core vs. Specialty Cases: Distinguish between core and specialty cases in each service.Second Scrub Role: Hold retractors, sponge or suction operative site, apply electrocautery within scope of practice as directed by the surgeon.Collaboration: Work with circulating RN to correctly account for countable items at the sterile field according to policy and procedures.Supply Management: Assist RN in gathering appropriate supplies for cases, mix, label, and administer all drugs and solutions dispensed to the sterile field, and maintain supply of fluids, solutions, and drugs.Patient Care: Identify specific care needs related to the patient's age group.

Additional Responsibilities:

Preparation and Maintenance: Assist with preparation, maintenance, and after-care of supplies, equipment, and facilities in the OR.Equipment Handling: Place equipment and supplies in the operating room and arrange instruments according to instructions.Sterilization: Wash and sterilize equipment following manufacturer's recommended instructions.Patient Positioning: Assist team members to place and position patients on the Operating Room table.Scrubbing and Dressing: Scrub arms and hands appropriately, don gown and gloves, aid OR team members to don gown and gloves, and apply dressings post-surgery.On-Call: Must be able to take call independently within 12 months of hire.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $83500.00 - $120900.00/yr.
