General Purpose:
Operates and monitors cheese & bean liquefier. Aids with vegetable delumper duties and general setup in all processing areas.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensures proper ingredients and ingredient amounts are used according to batch sheets. Reports quality issues to Supervisor as they occur. Assists and communicates with vegetable delumper on salsa and spinach days. Sanitizes equipment using CIP procedures and methods. Accurately documents lot numbers. Assists and communicates with other members of the production team in setting up various ingredients on salsa and white dip runs. Assists with breakdown and storage of used packaging totes, boxes, drums, buckets, etc. Ensures that FIFO practice is used on all supplies. Completes all required paperwork accurately and legibly. Operates forklift to move ingredients and/or supplies. Inspects forklift before operating and completes inspection form which is given to Supervisor. Utilize scanners or thin client units to make SAP transaction for the purpose of maintain accurate inventory levels and ensuring reliable product traceability. Stages ingredients for next day’s productions. Handles cleaning chemicals in a safe manner utilizing safety equipment such as gloves, eyewear, etc. Maintains a clean and organized work area including forklift sanitation. Follows all DFA Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate, regulatory quality, and sanitation requirements. Performs items on Master Sanitation lists when production is not running. Maintain sanitary equipment conditions during production. Maintain safe environment and perform other duties in a safe manner at all times. Assist in training new operator. Ability to function in a team based structure and positively contributes to team based efforts. Other duties as assigned by supervisor. Minimum Requirements:
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GEDKnowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Able to effectively communicate in writing & speech (English) Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
