Job Title: ChemistJob Description We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Chemist to join our team in a dynamic and fast-paced laboratory environment. The successful candidate will conduct testing on raw materials and finished pharmaceutical and biological products using established test procedures and analytical instrumentation. This role requires compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMPs), Company Quality Standards, and FDA/EU Guidelines. Responsibilities + Perform testing of raw materials and finished pharmaceutical and biological products. + Utilize analytical instrumentation and computer data acquisition systems (CDAS) and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS). + Ensure compliance with SOPs, CGMPs, Company Quality Standards, and FDA/EU Guidelines. + Adhere to testing schedules to manage a high volume of critical work without compromising result integrity. + Communicate effectively with lead analysts and colleagues. Essential Skills + Proficiency in HPLC, GC, and UV-VIS. + Accurate documentation and organizational skills. + Strong communication and teamwork abilities. + Positive attitude and chemistry expertise. + Experience in analytical chemistry and laboratory techniques such as titration and pipetting. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in an analytical chemistry testing laboratory with wet chemistry testing and instrumentation including HPLC, GC, AA, and UV/Vis. + Working familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel. Operational experience with Water’s Empower data acquisition is preferred. + Knowledge of US and European pharmacopeia is preferred. + Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry with two or more years of analytical chemistry laboratory experience. + Knowledge of human error awareness and prevention. + Investigation and problem-solving skills. Work Environment Work in a regulated lab environment adhering to FDA/USDA/EU standards. The chemistry lab consists of around 30 people and is divided into three areas: raw material testing, biological testing, and pharmaceutical testing. The role involves quality control on incoming raw materials and finished products from manufacturing. Expect a fast-paced environment with turn-around times and deadlines. The lab operates Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
