**Description:**
The CMO is a key member of the Holy Cross Medical Group (HCMG) Clinical Leadership team. The selected leader has broad responsibility for all HCMG providers currently composing over 250 physicians, advance practice providers and allied health providers. The CMO is responsible for providing the overall clinical vision to these Divisions and assisting the President in our growth initiatives. The CMO serves as the Clinical Dyad partner for the President, HCMG and direct reports include the Division Heads. Other Key Relationships include all members of HCMG Senior Leadership Team, ELT, Division Directors, Division Heads.

**Leadership Responsibilities**
**Role model.** Establishes a foundation as a credible leader with vision, focus and integrity, both inside and outside of the organization. Is willing to give honest and transparent feedback to all direct reports to improve their development. Communicates with confidence both in written and spoken form. **People & Team Development** . Drives development of colleagues, providers and leaders throughout operations with an emphasis on engagement, retention and growth. **Partners.** Partners with leaders across Holy Cross Hospital and HCMG central departments, partner health systems and community organizations. Provides direct leadership, oversight, advice, and mentorship to HCMG’s medical leadership structure to ensure ongoing alignment with HCMG’s overall priorities. Participates in the identification and development of HCMG Division Heads. Conducts their annual evaluations. Develops strategies in collaboration with the President for innovative clinical programs in anticipation of environmental changes.
**Detailed Areas of Responsibility:**
With the support of senior management and ELT, leads and ensures internal implementation of HCMG clinical direction for HCMG Divisions in the following ways:
Development of innovative strategies and work plans to achieve Trinity Health’s mission, vision, and annual priorities. Participates in relevant committees as needed. Assures that systems are in place that allow all providers to optimally care for their patients according to Trinity Health’s mission and vision, core values, and priorities. Advocates for process improvement that focuses on improving patient experience of care and provider engagement/satisfaction scores. Communicates HCMG priorities to Divisional leadership. Contributes to regular HCMG Division Head meetings for discussion and input into HCMG initiatives. Works with Quality and IT to develop data systems and analytics to support Clinical Delivery and Population Health clinical initiatives/priorities. Works closely with the CMO and Health Informatics Medical Director to optimize EMR performance for the Medical Group.
**Provider support responsibilities:**
Participates in HCMG new provider recruitment as needed/requested. Supports leadership and their dyad partners in resolving provider personnel issues in collaboration with Human resources and administration. Plays an active role in the integration of new providers and specialties into HCMG. Participates in the provider dashboard and leadership compensation and incentive structures to support our mission and values. Assists Divisional leadership in the identification and development of future leaders and succession planning. Performs routine leadership rounding to identify areas of opportunity to improve Provider Engagement and help reduce Provider burnout. Helps support top of license work across the Primary Care Divisions and shares best practices with other Divisions. Works to advance Provider Engagement in each Division. Works closely with the Director of Patient Experience to ensure top performance in this domain.

Maintains strict patient and employee confidentiality in compliance with HCMG and HIPAA guidelines. Serves as a role model, by demonstrating exceptional ability and willingness to take on new and additional responsibilities. Embraces new ideas and respect cultural differences. Uses resources efficiently. If applicable, responsible for ongoing professional development – maintains appropriate licensure/certification and continuing education credentials, participates in available learning opportunities.
**ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:**
EDUCATION: MD or DO degree required.
CREDENTIALS/LICENSURE: Board Certification in current clinical specialty, license to practice medicine in Florida, eligible for medical staff appointment at Holy Cross Hospital.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: At least 10 years of professional post-residency experience in direct patient care. Must be an actively practicing physician dedicated to maintaining a clinical role. Prior experience in a leadership capacity, preferred.

Innate ability to assemble and mentor exceptional physician executive and administrative leadership teams that work with passion to achieve the HCMG goals and initiatives. Must be able to communicate with confidence and objectivity both verbally and in writing. Must be able to articulate and embrace HCMG’s values and vision with natural leadership skills while maintaining a sense of humility and empathy.
