This role, located in our headquarters office in our Center City Philadelphia, offers flexibility and a hybrid environment, including 3 days each week on-site and 2 days remote. This position is full time, 35 hours per week.
The Chief of Staff (COS) reports to the President/CEO and partners with the CEO and the Chiefs of JEVS Human Services. This position directly oversees the project management work of the CEO’s office including but not limited to the Strategic Plan, the Annual Agency Goals, mergers and acquisitions, strategic partnerships and agency wide initiatives. The COS works collaboratively with the JEVS Human Services Board of Directors, CFO and Executive team members to support JEVS Human Services administrative supports and program to contribute to its long-range goals.
The COS regularly interacts with internal staff and teams to promote agency integration. Externally the COS supports the CEO and their team to promote the work of JEVS and builds strategic partnerships.
Additionally, this position regularly works to develop and foster external relationships with a variety of stakeholders. The COS supports the monitoring of administrative contract management and the management of board documents. In addition, the COS serves as a liaison to our Legal counsel. The COS works with the CEO and the executive team to develop agency wide efficiencies, ensure compliance, and identify key areas of growth that move JEVS Human Services further toward achieving its mission.
Essential Functions
+ Executive Leadership
+ The COS is a member of the agency’s Executive team, providing agency strategic planning and decision-making for all administrative and impact work.
+ Works closely with Board of Directors, Officers and Executive Cabinet team members to carry out JEVS Human Services administrative operations and pursue the agency’s long-range goals.
+ Represents the organization externally to foster strategic relationships and further JEVS Human Services reputation as a high-performing thought-leader and innovator in the human-services sector. This includes the development and management of strategic partnerships.
+ Serves as an authorized agency signatory and is responsible for approving and signing a variety of contractual and fiscal-related documents to support JEVS Human Services operations.
+ Provide coordination and support regarding Legal Counsel
+ Support development, implementation and management of the agency Strategic Plans and Agency Goals
+ Support project management and priorities for the CEO
+ Coordination and management of agency wide initiatives
+ Work in partnership with the CEO and board regarding merger and acquisition opportunities
+ Serve as a support to the executive team
+ Serve as the key point of contact for the CEO’s office in partnership with the executive assistant.
+ Administrative Oversight
+ Support the CEO in the planning, development and execution of agency wide vision expectation, to ensure JEVS Human Services is set up at scale to support the agency’s ability to meet the needs of the individuals we serve
+ Oversee strategic partnerships and establish realistic partnership leads for JEVS Human Service.
+ Work directly with Board Liaison/ Executive Assistant to CEO
+ Provide indirect coaching support to JEVS Human Services leadership and teams to support their professional development and capacity.
+ Identify and prioritize areas of opportunity and growth for JEVS Human Services to pursue in accordance with its mission, and construct and implement the strategies to bring those opportunities to fruition.
+ Work with the CEO and Chiefs to ensure integration of agency divisions and remove silos
+ Fundraising and Sustainability
+ Design and develop innovative service-delivery and business models and pitch those models to a variety of government and philanthropic funders to secure funding to launch and sustain them.
+ Financial Management
+ Support with the crafting of the annual agency budget and multi-year financial planning strategies for the organization.
+ Work with CEO and CFO to support budget management.
Requirements:
Minimum Experience:
+ Seven years or more of senior-leadership experience in overseeing the delivery of social services.
+ Project Management Experience
+ Five or more years of proven executive level administrative oversight
+ Experience supervising leadership teams as well as supervising individual team members.
+ Experience with Labor management
+ Experience developing and monitoring administrative budgets and managing multiple funding sources concurrently.
+ Experience with development of partnership and collaborations
+ Experience with Strategic Plan development and management
+ Advanced-level Microsoft Office Suite
+ Strong written and oral communication skills
Minimum Education:
+ BA/BS degree with a concentration in human services, social work or other related field of study.
+ Law/Master’s Degree preferred, but not required.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Bilingual (English/Spanish), written and verbal
+ Experience with union labor force

The base pay for this position ranges from $170,000 to $190,000 and will vary based on factors such as skills and experience. Base pay is one part of the Total Compensation that JEVS Human Services provides to recognize employees for their work.
