Civil Design Engineer
Job Title: Civil Design EngineerJob Description Design land development projects within Prince George's, Montgomery, and Howard Counties of Maryland, utilizing AutoCAD and Civil 3D to create design concepts and plans for site layout, water and sewer mains, roads, soil erosion and sedimentation control, floodplain studies, and grading plans. Provide assistance to team members and management to achieve departmental goals and objectives. Responsibilities + Design and develop land development projects in designated counties of Maryland. + Utilize AutoCAD and Civil 3D for design concepts in site layout, water, sewer mains, roads, and more. + Conduct floodplain studies and create grading plans. + Assist team members and management to meet department goals. + Engage in project management and visit client sites as needed. Essential Skills + Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D + Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is preferred + 2-4+ years of land development design experience + Knowledge of Montgomery County permits + Excellent verbal and written communication skills + E.I.T. certification preferred Work Environment Located in Montgomery Village, Maryland, the firm offers Civil Engineering, Surveying, Landscape Architecture, and Land Planning services across Maryland, the District of Columbia, and Northern Virginia. With nearly 45 years of successful projects, the company specializes in urban designs, streetscapes, commercial, multi-use, institutional, parks and recreation, and high-end residential homes. The company provides a truck for field crews and engages in a variety of projects within Montgomery and Frederick Counties. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
