Airswift has been Tasked to find a Civil / Structural Engineer to work in Paris, France under contract for one of our major costumers.
  Location: Paris, France Duration: 1 year contract (possible extension) Start Date: ASAP Work schedule: 5 days-week in the office
Mission Context This mission is open exclusively to engineering profiles The focus is not on design or structural calculations but on technical coordination and expertise in civil and structural engineering Significant experience in engineering projects in the Oil & Gas sector is mandatory
Main Tasks Participate in defining the project engineering schedule. Coordinate and follow up on civil and steel structure detailed design packages. Support the project team in compliance with Engineering Department procedures
Objectives & Deliverables
Civil Engineering & Steel Structures: Validate calculation assumptions (soil characteristics, seismic spectrum, wind load, steel resilience, concrete/steel design codes, buried networks, etc.). Draft specifications for subcontracted activities: geotechnical campaigns, soil reports, detailed civil/steel structure design, specialist input for rotating equipment foundations, etc. Analyze geotechnical reports (bearing capacity, differential settlement, soil classification, modulus of subgrade reaction, pile-soil interaction, groundwater table, etc.). Guide and supervise subcontractor designs; ensure dimensional adequacy of structures with piping and equipment layout studies. Evaluate the technical relevance and cost optimization of civil and steel structure works. Prepare progress reports on deliverables, labor hours, and material costs as per project schedule. Draft the technical sections of construction contracts (foundations, piles, earthworks, buildings, steel structures). Support tender processes: create technical comparison tables, participate in technical clarifications with contractors. Ensure timely delivery of studies in accordance with the project schedule. Provide civil/structural support during site erection.
Deliverables (as per project schedule): TRS (technical requisition sheets) for engineering and construction contracts. Progress reports on study coordination based on deliverables. Structural calculation notes (e.g., column anchorage). Technical specifications for civil and steel structure studies. Construction specifications for civil and structural works. Annotated drawings from engineering offices and suppliers.
Required Skills Knowledge of concrete structure design codes       Experience in Oil & Gas engineering projects          Coordination with multidisciplinary teams (Projects/Piping/Static Equipment/Rotating Machines)    Ability to work in international and multicultural environments           Knowledge of Tekla software    Knowledge of steel structure design codes   Oversight of external subcontractors
