**Job Summary and Qualifications**
Greets and determine needs of Diagnostic Imaging patients and/or their family members, visitors and any other guest to the facility. Greets all patient’s promptly, correctly and in a consistent manner focusing on the needs of the patient. Safely transports/escorts guest to designated treatment area or department. Guest will include, but not be limited to, any and all patients, patient’s family members, visitors, physicians, healthcare professionals, students, residents, and board members. Responsible for ensuring all Diagnostic Imaging patient’s receive consistent, quality, customer focused service.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:**
+ Identifies special needs that may require special accommodations or determines the level of assistance required.
+ Determines where patient needs to go and ensures they are either physically taken or appropriate level of assistance is provided.
+ Maintains patient and other guest confidentiality at all times.
+ Demonstrates Customer Service principles and behaviors appropriately.
+ Regular, punctual and dependable attendance.
+ Keeps waiting and patient areas clean.
+ Communicates effectively with guest, hospital staff, and co-workers.
+ Answer telephone in a timely and professional manner
+ Forwards calls to appropriate department/personnel.
+ Ensure that any edits performed in the scheduling module are also duplicated in the admissions module
+ Ensures that center has needed clinical information for scheduled appointments.
+ Select correct patient medical record number consistently.
+ Maintain open communication with the registration and clinical staff regarding those unscheduled patients presenting for services to ensure appropriate testing is performed and times are available
+ Utilize appropriate method/tool to communicate with Patients Access and other facility departments as necessary
+ Received, maintain, and index physician orders per facility and SSC standards and guidelines
+ Attends in-service presentations and completes mandatory education week
+ Practice and adhere to the “Code of Conduct” philosophy and “Mission and Value Statement”
+ Other duties as assigned.

+ Job Specific: As defined in Performance Evaluation.
**EXPERIENCE REQUIRED OR PREFERRED:**
+ Basic computer skills required
+ Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
+ Prior scheduling experience preferred
+ Basic knowledge of different Radiological Modalities
**SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:**
+ Ability to understand and follow quickly and accurately brief oral and written instructions
+ Ability to organize and complete work in an accurate and timely manner
+ Ability to communicate with staff, physicians, and patients, and family, at all levels.
CUSTOMERS SERVED: All employees, staff of HCA Florida Lake City Hospital in both clinical and non-clinical departments, including patients/families, physicians, volunteers, agency, contract, students and the community.
**COMPETENCIES:**
The competencies identified for this position are summarized and reviewed periodically throughout employment. The required behaviors and measurement associated with core, job specific, age specific, and management (if applicable) competencies and are maintained in the department education file.
**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:**
This position is classified as Light Work which is defined as exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, 10 pounds frequently and 5 pounds constantly.
